Little Geronimo
Little Geronimo is :
Brandon David (vocals)
David Kennedy (drums)
Adam Rohrer (guitar)
Turner Payan (bass)
When you merge pop sensibility with intricate instrument work, skillful melody, and technical savvy you receive an end product like Little Geronimo. Self-proclaimed math-pop, their sound contains much more dynamic and captivating structure than standard pop formulas but has more charisma and catchiness than your traditional math rock band. With a sound that has so much diversity and individuality, their influence pool has more than most, citing artists like Dance Gavin Dance, CHON, Strawberry Girls, Cher, and The Fall Of Troy as just a handful of artists that are their inspirations. Synth work and samples are woven into a tapping, glittering guitar sound to make something blissful, smooth, and indulgent. That production value and devotion to detail give them a softened style with sharp precision.
Formed in Jacksonville, Florida, Little Geronimo have been working to make a huge name for themselves one step at a time. Brandon and David met in 2014 and started working together on demos. As the rest of the band came together, they worked on and released their first EP in 2017 and immediately started playing shows regionally, garnering attention for their energetic and interactive live performances. They began to share the stage with influences of theirs and broader artists like Bilmuri, Strawberry Girls, Flipturn, and eventual collaborator Andrés. As they started pushing forward, they shifted their focus to a larger product. Being sure to take their time and craft the best product possible, they released a couple of singles over the next few years, all with an accompanying music video. Their visual aids and knack for earworm melodies started to gain them traction and secure them a strong following. Working behind the scenes of releasing those singles, they were carefully assembling a first album and partnered with Ben Rosett (of Strawberry Girls and Eternity Forever) and his label Spirit Vision Records to release it. Recorded with Josh Cobb at Rockbot Studios in their hometown of Jacksonville, ‘Celebration’ is an expansion on Little Geronimo’s story and a proper piece to usher in the start of what is sure to be a massive career.
